NEW ‘RULE OF SIX’  (complying with government legislation)

  • Maximum of 6 people per booking.
  • Every person travelling MUST book a ticket, including children of any age.
  • If you have more than 6 in your family group/bubble then you will need to place multiple bookings.

HOW IT WORKS…You are able to pick your own departure times and we are offering both single or return journeys, allowing you more flexibility. You may start your journey from any station. You can only purchase Adult or Child tickets, there are currently no family tickets available. Upon purchasing your ticket you will receive an email confirmation followed by an e-ticket. You do not need to redeem this ticket at the railway. The ticket will tell you times and which carriage and seats are allocated to your group.

Departures will leave on time, we can not hold any trains.

face mask

Passengers are required by law to wear a face mask/covering on public transport. Please ensure for everyone’s safety you have yours with you. Face mask/coverings must be worn whilst on board the train and boat. Please comply with social distancing rules, wherever possible maintaining the safe 2 meter distance from one another.

PLEASE NOTE: There are no toilets on board the train, facilities are available at Haverthwaite or Lakeside Stations. (There are toilets on board the boat).

All day car park £2 at Haverthwaite Station.

Dogs are more than welcome to travel on both the train and the boat.

Train and cruise on Windermere


Travel from Haverthwaite Station to Lakeside, where you will cruise from Lakeside Pier to Bowness Pier, taking in the beautiful views. You can now choose your own departure times giving you the freedom to plan your own day. (2 hr+ return / 70 minutes one way)

  • We welcome well behaved dogs, who can travel for free, but not on seats!
  • All tickets are non-refundable and non-transferable. The ticket is valid only for the date, time and service as stated. Any amendments will require the passenger to purchase a new ticket.
