Footplate Ride

A unique experience from the driver’s view point.

Join the crew on the footplate for a single journey on one of our working steam locomotives (returning in a carriage).

A must for all steam train lovers.

Terms & Conditions

• All participants must be aged between 18 and 70.
• All participants must be fit and mobile. (The ability to climb in and out of the engine unaided)
• For operational reasons the railway will choose the steam locomotive to be used.
• Participant must be wearing suitable clothing- covered footwear and long trouser, an overcoat can be provided.

The railway reserves any writes to decline entrance onto the footplate, if you have any doubts or concerns before purchasing this experience please contact the railway direct on 015395 31594.
